Job description
Are you an experienced Java Developer looking for a new challenge within a dynamic consultancy environment? At Acorel we are currently looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer for our Commerce Team. In this role you work on challenging projects and help our customers realize their commercial ambitions.
What you'll be doing:
- Designing and developing advanced Java-based e-commerce applications.
- Writing clean, maintainable and efficient code.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of e-commerce platforms.
- Analyzing and solving complex software problems in collaboration with your team.
- Identifying and fixing bugs.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality within the team.
- Sparring with the business about the best solution to their problem.
Job requirements
What we are looking for:
- HBO or WO work and thinking level.
- At least 5 years of professional work experience with Java.
- In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. (Dutch is a plus)
- Strong problem-solving skills.
